The Work hub
The Work section brings together your work from every project in the organization. Open Work in the app’s main navigation. Its badge counts your unread work notifications. It has five parts: My work, Inbox, Projects, Initiatives and Search.
My work#
My work has three tabs:
- Assigned to me: your items from every project, grouped as Overdue, Due this week, In progress, To do and Later. Done and cancelled items are folded away; select Show done and cancelled items to see them.
- Created by me: the items you reported.
- Watching: the items you watch.
Change an item’s status right in the list, offline too. Select a row to open the item; on a computer, J and K move through the rows while an item is open.
Inbox#
The Inbox lists your work notifications, newest first: assignments, mentions, replies on items you watch, status, assignee and due date changes, due dates, sprints ending and more. See Work notifications for the full list.
- Switch between All and Unread.
- Mark read marks one entry, and Mark all read clears them all. Both need a connection.
- Select an entry to open its item.
You don’t have to mark entries by hand: while you have an item open in a focused window, its new entries are marked read for you. Changes to the item are marked read whenever it shows; thread replies and comment mentions only while its Thread shows. Entries are kept for 90 days.
Projects#
Projects lists:
- Your projects: each with its key, channel, open items and active sprint. Select one to open its Board.
- Public channels: projects in public channels you aren’t in, with Join channel. This needs a connection, and guests don’t see it.
- Archived projects, the ones that were turned off.
Search#
Search finds items across every project you can see.
- Type a key, such as
WEB-42, or words from a title or description. Results from your device show first, and Show items not on this device fetches more from the server. - On a computer and the web, Filter opens the full filter builder: pick projects, then statuses, people, dates, custom fields and more. Dates take values such as
today,+7d,-2wor2026-10-20. - Show as a table or Show as a list switches how results appear, and Sort orders them.
- Export CSV saves the results as a file. See CSV import and export.
On phones you can search by key or words and use saved views; the filter builder is on a computer and the web.
Saved views for the whole organization#
Searches save like any view: open Views and choose Save view…. Turn on Share with the organization to let every member who isn’t a guest use it; leave it off to keep it for yourself. You can load, update, rename, share or delete your own saved views from the same menu. Saving needs a connection.
See Views, filters and saved views for views inside one project.
Initiatives#
An initiative groups epics from any number of projects around one goal, such as a product launch. Initiatives belong to the organization and have their own keys, such as INIT-3, which work in chat like item keys.
- New initiative (on a computer, the web and tablets): give it a Name, a Description, an Owner, a Status (Planned, Active, Done or Canceled), and a Start date and Target date. Any member who isn’t a guest can create one.
- Link epic adds an epic from any project to the initiative. An epic belongs to one initiative at a time. You can also set an epic’s Initiative field from the epic itself.
- The initiative’s page shows its epics, its progress (“12 of 30 done”) and where it’s mentioned.
- The owner, and org owners and admins, can edit and archive an initiative. Select Show archived to see archived ones.
- Guests see only the initiatives linked to epics in their channels.
Admins: Org owners and admins can change the prefix of initiative keys with Key prefix… in Initiatives. Old keys keep working after a rename, and a retired prefix is never used again.
