Switching orgs

One buildIt.social account can belong to several orgs, for example your company’s and a client’s. You work in one org at a time and switch whenever you like, without signing out.

Joining another org#

Accept the new org’s invite with the account you already have: open the invite link, select I already have an account, and sign in (Joining from your invite). The new org is added to your account.

Switching#

Select your picture to open the account menu.
Under Switch to, select the org.

You land where you last were in that org, or at the start of each section if you haven’t been there yet in this session. The org you’re in is shown at the top of the account menu, with your role in it.

When you belong to more than one org, Settings also has an Organizations list where you can switch.

Seeing what’s new in your other orgs#

The account menu shows how much is waiting in each of your other orgs: a count such as 3 unread, or New activity when there’s something new.

Note: If an org requires two-factor authentication and you haven’t set it up, it shows Two-factor required and doesn’t open until you do. See Two-factor authentication.
