For org owners and admins

Apps are programs on your own servers that post in channels, hear about what happens there and send cards with buttons. They aren’t people or members, and an app sees only the channels it’s added to.

Org owners and admins manage them in Settings → Integrations → Apps.

Allow apps#

Allow apps is off to begin with. Turn it on so the org’s apps can post and get events in the channels they’re in.

Turning it off asks you to confirm. Every app of the org is paused at once: their tokens are refused and they get no events. Nothing is deleted, and turning apps back on resumes them.

The org’s apps#

Below the switch, the page lists the org’s apps. Create app makes a new one, and selecting an app opens its page. Creating and changing apps is for the desktop and web apps; on a phone the list is read only.
