Overview

Settings → Overview is the first of your org’s pages. Everyone in the org can open it and see its settings. Org owners and admins change them; everyone else sees them read only.

Name and picture#

Organization name and Organization picture show in the org switcher and on the corner of your picture in the account menu. Org owners and admins type a new name and select Save, or select Change picture or Remove.

Theme colour#

Theme colour sets the look of the app for everyone in the org, in light and dark mode: the sidebar, the buttons and your own message bubbles. Each person still chooses light or dark for themselves in Preferences.

Org owners and admins select it to pick one of the Preset colours or type a Colour code, such as #7318A7, and see a Preview in light and dark. Reset to default goes back to the default purple. Everyone in the org sees the new colour at once, and switching orgs switches colours.

  • Link previews: cards with a page’s title and picture under links in the org’s messages. On to begin with. When it’s off, no new cards are made; cards already made stay.
  • Blocked domains: links to these sites and their subdomains never get a preview. Type a domain, such as example.com, and select Block. You can block up to 200 domains.

Each person can also hide previews for themselves, with Show link previews in Preferences.

Embedded video players#

When Embedded video players is on, YouTube, Vimeo, Loom and TikTok videos play in their card in the org’s messages, and Reddit, Threads, Instagram, Facebook and X posts load there. When it’s off, they open in the browser. On to begin with.

GIFs#

  • GIFs: people can search for and send GIFs. On to begin with. GIFs already sent stay when it’s off. GIFs load from KLIPY, which sees the IP address of anyone searching or viewing them.
  • GIF content rating: which GIFs searches can show: G, PG, PG-13 (the default) or Unrestricted.
